My HF/LF station is centred around a Kenwood TS-2000 although I also sometimes use my Icom IC-706 or IC-703.
The main aerial is 160ft inverted L long wire which is fed at the bottom of the garden where the home brew remote controlled ATU resides in a shed. The 40ft mast also supports a 10m sloping dipole and will later hold various other experimental aerials.

The long wire was also used for a short time on the 73KHz band, it was extremely inefficient but it did allow me my one and only contact there using cw on the day the band was released.

The picture below shows the remote conrolled ATU located in the shed.
I have a quite comprehensive earthing and radial system consisting of a number of copper earth stakes which are connected together with copper piping and a number of 132ft radials.

My first bought receiver was an R1155 (below) which was used during the war in Lancaster bombers, as well as on hf I used this as a tunable IF in the sixties for 2 metres utilising a home brew valve converter.

Marconi CR100 (right), this was quite a sensitive receiver after some simple mods and was very good for 80 and 160m AM. VERY heavy though.
